About this listen

Hi, I'm Dani! I love people and I love talking about the human experience. I'm a seeker and a connector. From a very young age I've believed in the power of discourse and critical thinking - and that "because this is how we've always done it" is not a valid reason to keep doing things a certain way.

In every episode I sit down with a different guest (or guests) and dive into how they are challenging the status quo and choosing unconventional paths in life. Together, we explore their insights, experiences, and stories around specific themes. The mission is to open our hearts and minds so we can consciously explore ways to live more authentically, intentionally, and on purpose. And hopefully break through outdated paradigms despite what we've been told or taught.

  • An Unconventional Journey to Motherhood - Britt Fohrman
    Apr 29 2025

Britt Fohrman guides people towards confident embodiment as a teacher, coach, doula, photographer, and alchemist in the often overlapping realms of pleasure, grief, sexuality, love, birth, and ceremony. But in this interview we focus our attention on her personal story - one that is woven with challenging the status quo and doing life on her own terms.

Britt exemplifies living life another way by boldly following her intuition and defying the dominant paradigms that surround us. We talk about asking for help and creating a village. We talk about the role of pleasure in healing. She vulnerably shares her experiences and we dive into rich topics around navigating death and grief, as well as motherhood.

After her beloved husband's death, Britt didn't give up on her dream to be a Mom. She chose an unconventional, but wildly beautiful and inspiring, path that has her now basking in the sweetness (and challenges) of single mom life.

  • Maintaining a Mindset of Abundance Despite All Odds - Mikhail Wolf Shearman
    Apr 2 2025

In 2022 at the age of 33 years old, Mikhail Wolf Shearman was in a life-changing motorcycle accident, that eventually led to the amputation of his entire right arm and chronic nerve damage and pain that he continues to deal with to this day. His life was turned upside down but he's chosen a path of abundance and living life to the fullest.

In this episode we get into not only the details of this accident and how it has impacted him and his outlook on life, but we also dive into his life story and the many ways he's turned tragedy and trauma into opportunity and healing. This includes topics ranging from drug use both medicinally and recreationally, death of a parent (as a teenager), navigating grief, addiction, and so much more!

Wolf has one of the most contagious and inspiring outlooks on life that I've encountered and it was a true pleasure having this conversation with him - especially the many (many!) similarities we found along the way in our life journeys and experiences.

Cianna P. Stewart produces and hosts Dying Kindness, a podcast for people who are going to die someday. (Hint... that's all of us!) Cianna's goal is to help people make key decisions now in order to be kinder to those they'll leave behind.

In this episode we cover the many things you can logistically do to prepare for death, but we also dive into talking about death with your loved ones, facing death, navigating grief (for yourself and with others), and a whole lot more.

We even get into some specific tips around what to actually say to those who are grieving and how you can best support them. Cianna and I share our own experiences and journeys with loss and death as well. This is a special and important episode, I hope you enjoy listening to it it as much as I did recording it!
