    The Palace Hotel in San Francisco is being forced to cancel holiday events due to the ongoing strike by hotel workers. The arrival of the first big storm of the season means it's time for the large inflatable rubber dam in the Russian River to come down. PG&E has told the city of Dublin that a flock of blackbirds caused a power outage that left 7-thousand people in the dark last month.
