Really hit or miss podcast

I've listened to most of the available episodes here so I feel I have a good grasp of the content put out by comedy bang bang. Granted there is a huge archive of other episodes I haven't touched so I cant speak for the podcast in its entirety.

I find this podcast can be really hit or miss. Some episodes are great, really funny and with active guests/bits. The foam corner is ironically super good despite it being about bad jokes. The episode that stood out as the funniest to me was the Erhmantrout brothers Spike and Ike, which had me in bits and the 2015 best of was great. But in between this was a lot of misses. Granted, for a podcast not every one is gonna be a home run but some episodes can be a trip to the comedy graveyard. The host, Scott Auckerman is okay. He just sort of lets the show take its course around the guests and bounces off them from time to time which is good but I feel as if any radio presenter dude could replace him.

Overall its okay and is my backup podcast when I'm caught up on others. Sometimes it devolves into that typical American 'poop, fart, funny' humour and sometimes you have playful characters that can make an episode. My advice is to pick episodes at random (or pick best of's and skip to the top 5 since they time waste indefinitely for the initial parts) and if the episode seems like it doesn't have much jokes or "get up and go" just abandon it. 8 times out of 10 the episode doesn't much improve.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
