  • In this Podcast, I have the pleasure of interviewing a longtime friend (20-plus years) whom we adopted as a brother and who can / will call my mom and tell on me.... Really, I count it a blessing to be sitting across from such a Piller in the community and an individual I respect and trust with my life. I asked Mr. Shelton to come and share how recovery has affected our relationship, and his perspective on recovery. We dive down into his experience with recovering alcoholics and addicts and how my addiction personally affected him. We then turn the conversation to how others, dealing with a family member as an addict or alcoholic, can proceed and possibly heal from the trauma caused by their disease.

    Mr. Shelton retired from Education and is now a Grief Recovery Counselor. We spent many days and nights discussing family, relationships, business ideas, future plans, and my journey through alcoholism and addiction.

    Trust me when I say, "he knows where the bodies are buried"!
