This week on Blind Mate Stef doesn't know she's meeting Richard Morris.

Richard is a racing driver, former international fencer (the sport not the garden variety) and co-founder of Racing Pride, a movement launched to positively promote LGBTQ+ inclusivity within the motorsport industry and among its technological and commercial partners but Stef doesn't know that either.

About Richard Morris
Richard Morris is a professional racing driver currently competing for CW Performance Praga in the 2021 Britcar Endurance Championship in an all-carbon Praga R1 turbo prototype car. Richard has already taken multiple wins in the series this year. Richard has been racing since he was 12 years old. A successful career in karting was followed by two seasons in Formula Ford single-seater cars, which led to him finishing as Vice Champion in class in the British Championship despite budget constraints forcing him to miss multiple races. This earned him the opportunity to become works driver for prototype team Spire Sports Cars, with which he had huge success, claiming 15 podiums from 22 races, and winning at 3 out of 4 meetings in a 2020 season disrupted by Covid. He is also Co-Founder of Racing Pride: a movement to positively promote LGBTQ+ inclusion through motorsport.

Stef’s Dad once said, “I can’t believe you get paid to talk. I’ve been trying to shut you up for years!” It’s funny, because she can’t believe it either.
