  • Episode 30: Roy Masters AM joins Stormcast
    Oct 29 2024
On this episode of Stormcast, Stormy Daniel had the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with renowned Rugby League journalist and former Rugby League Coach, Roy Masters AM. Many Storm fans and members would be recognise Roy Masters, who is often seen in the dressing sheds post game, singing the victory song with the team after a win, but Roy's affiliation with the Storm goes well beyond being a fan. Stormy Daniel discusses how Roy Masters became involved and invested in the Melbourne Storm, his relationship and bond with Head Coach Craig Bellamy and Roy's thoughts on what makes the Storm the sporting franchise they are and why they have and will continue to have sustained success.

  • Episode 29: Beaten by greatness as Grand Final defeat will motivate Storm to go one better in 2025
    Oct 15 2024
Sometimes you just have to sit back and admire greatness. What a club, what a team, what an organisation Penrith Panthers is. Deserving Premiers. There is no shame in being beaten by this juggernaut of a sporting franchise. Whilst the disappointment of losing a Grand Final hurts and will undoubtedly be stinging for some time, it will serve as additional motivation for a Storm playing group heading into the pre-season, driving them to go one better in 2025. Stormy Daniel reviews the Grand Final defeat to the now 'four-time' Premiers, many who have made comparisons to this inexperienced Melbourne Storm team being exactly where the Panthers were five seasons ago when the pair played one another in the 2020 Grand Final team. The Panthers that night were beaten by experience and guile of a Storm team that knew how to play and perform in big matches. The Panthers took their learnings and did a Melbourne on Melbourne, showing the inexperienced Storm side, what it takes to win a Premiership. Storm may have created the beast that is the Panthers team five years ago, but Penrith could have effectively now done exactly the same thing to a Melbourne Storm team who will be much wiser in 2025. Stormy Daniel coves off on what's making news and answers your listener questions.

  • Episode 28: A Grand Final for the ages looms with the immovable object up against the unstoppable force
    Oct 1 2024
They did it! The 2024 Minor Premiers, the Melbourne Storm defeated rivals in the Sydney Roosters, overcoming adversity right from kick-off with the opening exchanges of the game, seeing the boys from Bondi jump to a 6-nil lead, capitalising on a Nelson Asofa-Solomona sin bin and a 12 man defensive side, only for Storm to show great reslience, not crumble, square the ledger and dominate for the rest of the contest on the back of the Big Four, with Hughes, Papenhuyzen, Grant and Munster stepping up to dominate proceedings. A comprehensive 48-18 win saw the Storm qualify for their 11th Grand Final appearance across their 26 year existence. Bellamy's 10th Grand Final to boot. Stormy Daniel covers off on the Preliminary Final win, what's making Storm news, team list Tuesday, previewing the Grand Final and answers your listener questions.
