The 4 Eyes Podcast

By: Cath and Dai Woolridge
  • Summary

  • [A podcast about intimacy, infertility, IVF and the 'in-between']….You don't need a prescription to listen to this podcast. To frame the conversation, we want to bring four i's into a sharper focus - intimacy, infertility, IVF and the ‘in-between’. Each week we'll share a little bit about our long way round journey of having children, exploring themes like grief, faith, the unknown, or how we hold on to hope through moments of great pain - like baby loss. As our longing for children journey continues, we'll share some prayers, creative reflections and sometimes chat to friends we've met along the way. Sometimes through laughs, other times through tears, we'll share some of the highs, and lows and the bumps in the road. We're the Woolies - we're creatives who love words, songs and stories, We're Christians who love all things Welsh, and this is our 4 i’s journey so far.

  • A Father's Day reflection feat. Philippa Hanna and Jessie Dipper
    Jun 15 2024

After a few months of radio silence following on from a busy season, team Wooly are back for a special edition podcast, reflecting on Father's Day. While on route to Heathrow at 3.30AM, Cath and Dai reflect on the journey so far - the process of grief, the anniversary days and Dai reflecting on missing Dad, and longing to be a Dad.
Cath and Dai also share how Father's Day also happens to be the 1 year anniversary of Bear Woolridge's due date.

"As raw as some of the conversation are, the process of processing together has been a lament that journeys to hope, and we pray it is for you also. We are incredibly blessed to have two superstar guests and friends feature on this pod with creative contributions that speak and sing hope into the grief baked holes. Philippa Hanna joins Dai as they share a spoken word / song collab 'Dad shaped holes', and Jessie Dipper offers a beautiful sung lament, which she wrote as a response to the 4 eyes podcast 'Due Date' last year."

"As ever, the heartfelt our convos are littered with faith chats, impromptu welsh hymns, and Team Wooly silliness. May they bring a smile to your face and be like balm for your soul."

Powerful

A beautiful, poignant, powerful podcast. A gentle reminder to those of us lucky enough to have children, just how precious they are.
