• Day 333 | King Belshazzar sees the Lord write on the wall | 2 Peter 3: Jesus is coming
    Nov 29 2023

Day 333 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Daniel 4:19-5:16, King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream of a tree being cut down, which Daniel interprets as a warning from God that the king will lose his sanity for seven years to learn that God rules all kingdoms. This prophecy is fulfilled, and the king eventually acknowledges God's sovereignty. Later, King Belshazzar, Nebuchadnezzar's successor, offends God by using sacred temple cups during a feast. A mysterious hand writes on the wall, and Daniel is called to interpret the message, which is a divine warning. These events emphasize the theme of recognizing and respecting God's supreme authority.

In 2 Peter 3, Peter talks about the end of the world and Jesus' return. He explains that people might doubt because it's taking a long time, but God doesn't see time like we do. A day for Him can be like a thousand years. God is patient because He wants everyone to have a chance to turn to Him. Peter warns that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly and everything will be destroyed by fire. But there will be a new, wonderful world where only good lives. He encourages us to live holy and godly lives while we wait, always ready for Jesus' return. This chapter reminds us to be patient and live well, always ready for God's promises.

  • Day 332 | Daniel's friends thrown into the furnace | King N's Dream | 2 Peter 2: False Prophets
    Nov 28 2023

Day 332 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Daniel 3:13-4:18, King Nebuchadnezzar gets angry because Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego won't worship his gold statue. He throws them into a fiery furnace, but they don't get hurt because God protects them. The king is amazed and praises their God. Later, Nebuchadnezzar dreams about a huge tree that gets cut down. Daniel tells him it means the king will lose his kingdom and live like an animal for seven years because he is too proud, but then he'll get better and understand that God rules over everything.

2 Peter 2 warns about false teachers who will try to mislead people. It says these teachers will secretly bring in wrong teachings, even denying God. They'll be greedy and trick people with lies. The chapter reminds us that God punishes the bad but saves the good, giving examples like Noah's flood and saving Lot from Sodom. It explains that these false teachers are wrong and will face consequences for leading people away from the truth. The main message is to stay alert and stick to the true teachings.

  • Day 331 | Daniel interprets the King's dream | 2 Peter: An Introduction
    Nov 27 2023

Day 331 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Daniel 2:24-3:12, Daniel interprets King Nebuchadnezzar's dream about a giant statue, which represents different kingdoms. Impressed, the king promotes Daniel. Later, the king builds a huge golden statue and orders everyone to worship it. Three of Daniel's friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, refuse to worship the statue because they only worship God. This makes the king very angry, and he orders them to be thrown into a fiery furnace. In 2 Peter 1, Peter, one of Jesus' closest friends, writes to Christians, reminding them to live good lives. He encourages them to grow in faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, kindness, and love. Peter says these qualities make them strong in their faith and help them know Jesus better. He reminds them that he saw Jesus' power and majesty himself, and that the messages from the prophets about Jesus are true. Peter tells them to pay attention to these messages like a light shining in a dark place.

  • Day 330 | Daniel is taken to Babylon | 1 Peter 5: Flock of God
    Nov 27 2024

Day 330 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Daniel 1-2:23 tells the story of a young man named Daniel and his friends, who were taken to Babylon when King Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem. Despite being in a foreign land, Daniel stayed true to his faith, refusing to eat the king's rich food, which went against his beliefs. God blessed Daniel and his friends with wisdom and understanding. Later, King Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream that none of his wise men could interpret. Daniel, with God's help, not only recounted the dream but also explained its meaning to the king. This showed that God's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of the world. 1 Peter 5 gives advice and encouragement to both church leaders and Christians. It tells elders (church leaders) to care for their members willingly and humbly, not for power or money. Younger people are advised to be humble and respectful to their elders. The passage also encourages everyone to be humble under God’s power, to cast all their worries on Him because He cares for them. It warns to be alert and resist the devil, promising that after suffering for a short time, God will restore and strengthen them. The letter ends with personal remarks and blessings.

  • Day 329 | Water from the Temple | The Holy Land gets organized | 1 Peter 4: Changed Lives
    Nov 25 2023

Day 329 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Ezekiel 47-48 describes a vision where a river flows from the temple, bringing life wherever it goes. This shows how God's presence brings life and healing. Then, the land of Israel is divided among the tribes, symbolizing restoration and God's promise to His people. It's about hope and God's care for His people.

1 Peter 4 teaches us to live for God and not just for ourselves. It says that we might suffer for being Christians, just like Jesus did, but that's okay because it shows we're following Him. The chapter also tells us to love each other, use our gifts to serve others, and always remember that God is in charge.

    Nov 25 2024

  • Day 327 | The Lord takes over the tour of the New Temple | 1 Peter 2: Obey your leaders
    Nov 23 2023

Day 327 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Ezekiel 43-44, the prophet Ezekiel sees a vision where God's glory returns to the Temple in Jerusalem, showing that God is with His people again. Then, in chapter 44, God gives rules for the Temple and the priests, emphasizing the importance of being holy and serving God correctly. These chapters remind us that God wants to be close to His people and that there are special ways to respect and honor Him. 1 Peter 2:4-25 talks about Jesus as the most important stone in a building. Just like a building is built on a strong stone, our lives should be built on Jesus. We, like living stones, are part of something bigger, serving God together. The passage also teaches about living good lives, respecting others, and following Jesus' example, even when things are hard. It's a reminder that how we live and treat others shows the world what it means to follow Jesus.
