  • Noah - Caravan Of Garbage
    Nov 14 2024

In 2014 Darren Aronofsky hit us with the Russell Crowe lead biblical epic Noah. A bold and accurate(?) retelling of the classic Old Testament tale of one man and his family in a quest to help God kill everyone on earth but not all the animals, just most of them. This concludes our Rusty Crowe His-Trilogy for 2024, but don't worry we'll definitely return to more down the line. Probably like Robin Hood or whatever I dunno. Thanks for listening!

  • Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World - Caravan Of Garbage
    Nov 7 2024

We're back to continue on our Rusty Crowe His-Trilogy, a peak into three Russell Crowe historical epics. This week it's 2003's Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, a critically lauded nautical adventure that didn't quite reach the audience it needs to warrent a sequel. Also featuring the likes of Paul Bettany, Billy Boyd and James D'Arcy it's well worth of look if this one happened to pass you by. Thanks for watching out our Caravan Of Garbage review

Disillusioned with Ma Best Aussie Boyz

It was all going well until episode 506, when Mames & Jaso touched on the fact that Napoleon Bonaparte was actually a nepo-baby and yet neither of them uttered the phrases "Napo-baby" or "Nepoleon". Darryl Summers' clone would NEVER miss such an open goal.

Nah, you're alright m8s: consistently funny and entertaining, this is hands down the best podcast on the world wide web. Keep up the gr8 work, lads!

Recently better than ever.

The episodes of The Weekly Planet between 29th July and 4th September 2022 are essential listening. James and Maso really had their finger on the pulse of the pop-culture issues that took place that month. Keep it up guys!

This is too long (that’s what she said).

The Weekly Planet have been shooting comic book & movie news straight up my butthole for a decade, although over the years they’ve decided to change the way they deliver the ‘barely news’ (rectums are now safe) and now they go under the moniker ‘Defenders of the Earth’.

James “Goat-Han Solo” Clement (AKA Mr Sunday Movies) & Nick “Chip Dangercock” Mason (AKA Maso) have such great chemistry you’d think they were brothers (but they’re NOT).

Their professionalism from the very start has been impressive to listen to; they’ve overcome many obstacles such as terrible recording equipment, being hungover, being unprepared, late co-hosts and interruptions from dogs, kids, Claire (James’s very talented wife)….but mainly each other!

They’ve been consistent throughout the seasons (even the spooky season and I’m not talking about Tax time!) during the years.

What some people don’t know is that when they initially started the podcast they recorded a few episodes that weren’t released (they weren’t great) and as they were finding their feet, a few names were thrown around before they settled on the iconic The Weekly Planet.

As younger men they used to laugh at all the Expats who came to Aus working in the fields harvesting and farming until they were blue in the face…..this led to them using the working title Blue Harvest for the podcast.

Thanks gents for all your hard work and for keeping your fans amused during some dark times. Also your review of Snake Eyes is one of the best things I’ve ever experience in any form of media.

Overall, If I had to rate it, I’d say it’s fine……..So I guess BEST PODCAST EVER!

SHOUT OUT to my boy “Rodney!”

Thank you for reading my letter (review), grab that gem you guys.

What a time to be alive

Love listening to these fools. They sound like neither would win in a fight against each other. I hope they never fight. I get the sense James is better at life than he thinks he is. Mason inspired me to go to the cinema on my own; i did not like it.

Great Weekly Film and Nerdy things Round-up

Nick and Maso are two hilarious Aussie bros who bring you the best in comic book movie news and reviews week to week. They're even funnier than a pig rolling down a hill, and that's pretty damn funny. Their in-jokes are worth your investment of time, and they don't even have to be drunk to come up with them.

The only podcast you’ll ever need

I listen to this on Spotify but thought I’d get my reviews in where I could. THE BEST PODCAST EVER. Did you know Snake Eyes’ working title was Blue Harvest? Learn more fascinating facts just like this from the fellas from down under.

James, Maso and Little James feel like my own family I listen to them that much... I should call my mum.
