    Nov 28 2024

Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss Moroni testifying to us, Moroni refuses to deny Christ, Moroni teaches the importance of baptism and how we always remember Him through partaking of the sacrament, to review the qualifications of baptisms review and compare Moroni 6:1-3 to D&C 20:37, how the priesthood offices of elder, priest, and teacher were different among the Nephites than they are today (see: https://www.gospeldoctrine.com/book-mormon/moroni/moroni-3); when we take the sacrament we are renewing and recommitting to take the Savior's name upon us; why the word "always" is so significant in "always remember him"--this should be changing us and changing our focus and our desires; can another person see God through us?

  • Ether 12-15 | Nov 25-Dec 1
    Nov 21 2024

Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss Ether's teachings and prophecies to Coriantumr, the slow descent of the Jaredites to their own desctruction, how the Lord gives us weaknesses to make us humble, how faith in Christ gives us hope for going forward, the house of the Lord is a house of light and a house of hope, how the temple can be a building block to faith and hope, "if then" phrase of "if men will come unto me, I will show them their weaknesses"--giving us opportunities to repent and become strengthened, Ether 12:27: "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." Seeing our weaknesses is proof that we're growing closer to Christ, what does Moroni's insecurity about writing teach us about our own insecurities, what do we place our faith in--the results or in the Lord who gives us the results, how trials can teach us empathy and bring us closer to Christ.
