• Stories From the Extraordinary Life of Dr. Qube - Quint Davis
    Jun 14 2023

From some questionable academic beginnings, Quint Davis has schooled us all in how it is done. From touring with the likes of Duke Ellington at the age of 19 to building the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival from the ground up, Dr. Qube has earned his honorary Doctorate of Humanities from his alma mater, Tulane University.  Quint shares some of his favorite stories of BB King, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Bongo Joe to name a few. This one is a bit longer than usual, but it is our season finale!  Enjoy!

     We’ll be back in a few weeks…

  • Ed Matys Who Are You?
    May 10 2023

A funny thing happened on our way to the podcast... we met Ed Matys. What else could we do but interview him.  Come to find he was the creator,  founder and president of New Mass. Media Inc. which published the Valley Advocate, Hartford Advocate, New Haven Advocate , Fairfield Advocate, and Syracuse New Times. He was co publisher of the New Orleans alternative newspaper, Figaro, and co founder of CitiBusiness.  The list goes on! Like Nan, he also lives in  New Orleans and Massachusetts.  Suffice to say, there was plenty for Nan and Ed to talk about!

  • Come Fly With Me!
    May 3 2023

Ever wonder what it's like to be a flight attendant? Apparently Nan has. And it is NOT for everyone. In this episode Nan talks in depth with her long-time friend, Tom, about what it's like to be locked in a tube at 30,000 feet with a sardine packed sample of humanity.  We like Tom so we won't mention the airline... or his last name.
