A Hindi translation of Ruskin Bond’s Rusty Runs Away by Neelabh, this is the second book in the series that vividly conjures up the world of Rusty and his friends. Penned for young audiences, the book traces Rusty’s life as he enters his teenage years. The excitement and adventure of adolescent life take the young protagonist through a series of intriguing incidents. Still dealing with the passing away of his father and grandmother, he conspires to run away from boarding school with his mischievous friend Daljeet.

A Hindi translation of Ruskin Bond’s A Handful of Nuts by Rachna Bhola ‘Yamini’, this novel is the story of a 21-year-old writer in a small town in India. Alternately witty, poignant, tender and hilarious, the tale begins with the writer describing his simple and frugal life in Dehra. He occupies a tiny room, spending his days eating at the roadside restaurants, watching cinema and reading all English publications he can find. His goal is to find avenues to get his short stories published, and though he finds plenty such publications, none of those pay well.

The Hindi translation of Ruskin Bond’s novella The Sensualist, by Pragati Saxena, this remains one of the author’s most controversial works. The tale of a man driven by desire, it unearths the struggle within the protagonist’s inner world. A poignant unraveling of the murky depths of self-destruction, the story takes us through the pleasure and pain of living on the edge.
