Hockey, studying, and school runs. That's my life now. After a tragic accident that took our parents' lives, it's up to me and my big brother to take care of our five younger siblings. A relationship with Chad would be betraying the very legacy that brought me here. But I can’t help myself.

Anton lebt für den Sport. Er hat hart dafür gearbeitet, einer der Besten in der Liga zu sein – ohne dass sein Privatleben die Schlagzeilen bestimmt. Ezra ist das genaue Gegenteil: laut, selbstbewusst und ganz schön aufreizend.

Felix Andrews genießt das Collegeleben in vollen Zügen, aber nun fühlt er sich bereit für eine feste Beziehung. Daher bittet er seine Freunde, ihn bei der Partnersuche zu unterstützen. Gesagt, getan – sie schicken Felix zu einem Blind Date mit dem liebenswerten Marshall. Nur läuft nichts wie geplant, und am Ende ist Felix eins völlig klar: Marshall möchte er am liebsten nie wiedersehen. Doch der folgende Morgen hält eine Überraschung für ihn bereit. Als sein Freund Foster Grant in die NHL wechselt, ist sich Christopher Jacobs sicher: Jetzt wird er Teamcaptain der Eishockeymannschaft an der Colchester University. Doch das ist nicht so einfach wie gedacht, denn der Coach stellt auch seinen Rivalen TJ "Beck" Beckett zur Wahl. Dabei ist Beck ebenso unzuverlässig und rücksichtslos wie verwöhnt und reich. Kurz gesagt: das komplette Gegenteil von Jacobs und daher ganz sicher nicht als Anführer geeignet! Um den neuen Captain zu finden, hat sich das Team eine Reihe von Mutproben ausgedacht – möge der Bessere gewinnen.
