From book one: Being able to rip the soul out of a creature, store it in a precious gem, and use it to cast spells might make me the most powerful student at the Astra Argent Magical Academy. Only I can’t tell anybody about it. Because it's illegal, and they’ll kill me if they find out. The mysterious portals are continuing to open, hordes of murderous dinosaurs are pouring out, and the British military has abandoned population centers to defend critical infrastructure like power plants. That’s bad news for Jason and his two co-ed companions who are holed up in the campus art gallery, trying to ride out the reptilian storm. With no rescue on the way, they will have to learn to survive not just the savage dinosaurs, but also the humans who want their possessions.

On January 1st, 2020, the comet hit, and a good chunk of the people on Earth died or turned into mutants. But some people gained powerful magical abilities. You would think that the fall of humankind would usher in a time of peace and happiness for the survivors, but since powerful people tend to be assholes, life got worse, and these mages enslaved those who couldn’t protect themselves. I have magic too, but not just any magic. I can summon guns, and nothing kills asshole mages better than a bullet through the brain.

As a child, I was nearly killed by a demon, and ever since, the only thing I've cared about is becoming a blood knight. Using the mana inside my blood to protect others from the monsters that plague the world. Eight years I devoted to training, and finally, I was ready to be tested. My blood was measured and assessed, laid bare for all to see. And it was found wanting. I was given the lowest rank possible, just barely meeting the requirements to take the prestigious Sanguine Academy entrance exam. But I aim to prove them wrong.

After spending time with the bearmancers of Vetrusca, I have a new mission. It will take me into the heart of a desert land with a new kind of mancer, where the people are ruled by the iron fist of a tyrant. If there's one thing I love, it's mancer women, and if there's one thing I hate, it's tyrants.

Everything is unfolding exactly as I have planned it: I have created an entire legion of monster girls, conquered our duchy, and freed the enslaved men. Now all that remains is to defeat the queen, create more monster girls, and liberate the entire realm. It won’t be easy, though, since the queen has sent her most powerful generals and armies to garrison the towns on our route to the royal capital, and we’ll have to fight our way through the opposition.

We escaped from New York City, but the mages are still hot on our heels. We’re heading west, to see a man about a gun. Actually, a lot of guns. Any gun I touch I can summon back, so I need to grow my arsenal to have a chance to fend off our pursuers and make it to the west coast. Unfortunately, we’ll have to traverse miles mutant-infested wilderness to get to our contact, and even if we make it through the mutant lands, the mages could easily be waiting for us on the other side. I’m definitely gonna need a lot of guns.

The DEPP has transported Dave and his lovely women to another even more alien and dangerous version of Earth than the last. They have to begin fortifying their trans-dimensional territory if they have any hope of surviving these hostile environments. Cambrian Era monstrosities and massive tidal surges caused by an angry moon goddess are pretty nasty challenges for anybody to survive, but a flesh eating blob that wants to devour all life on Earth? That’s just not fair.

Evan and his party continue on to the next stop on their campaign, but they quickly discover things are not right in the underground city of Colaruma. The king’s appointed Sentinels are missing, there is evidence the Green Glass Sect is once again up to no good, and the city’s Council of Magistrates is more than a little suspicious. Evan decides to go undercover to get to the bottom of all these mysteries, but a little dragon diplomacy may be in order.

Now tested in battle, Evan aims to become the heir of Hatra. Once that he’s a lord, Evan has even more on his plate, from rebuilding the city’s aqueducts to fighting demonic hordes. On top of all that, the King of Rahma gives Evan a quest to prove his worth: to find the lost sword of Hatra, which was last seen 1,000 years ago.

After defeating the wild dragons deep beneath the Earth, I’m ordered into the Vetruscan Kingdom. There, the warriors are not bonded to dragons but bears. They are equally formidable, and not all bearmancers are friends. Thankfully, I won’t be by myself. I’ll have my dragonmancer women with me, as well as Noctis the Onyx Dragon...and my three dragon children.
