Katie is blindsided one evening when her husband, Kent, out of the blue, says that he wants to become a woman. He’s never mentioned it before, and there were no hints—at least none that Katie noticed.

Wanting changes in his life, he decides to sign up for a membership at his local gym. The gym is a bit unorthodox in its methods, and his orientation starts with a chat that feels more like a therapy session. But the gym’s administrator ensures him that it’s important to understand every client on a deeper level before pairing them with a personal trainer.

Destined is an up-and-coming rock band with a quickly growing fan-base. The band members are old friends. Their dynamic had always been drama-free—until Mario, the band’s drummer, shows up for rehearsal one day dressed as a girl. Now, she wants to be called Maddie. One small identity change and the dynamic of the band shifts completely—particularly after Ray, the band’s singer, gets the idea to be a ‘girl band’.

While dressed like a girl, nothing bad happens to Tanner. People are nice to him. He gets a free bus ride, a free dinner, and someone even hands him some cash as an act of kindness. It’s a streak of good luck that Tanner isn’t used to… but it’s something he could get used to.

Max keeps getting into trouble, manipulating his female classmates (he calls it ‘charming’ them). Finally, the school principal can’t take any more, kicking Max out and leaving him with only one option: an all-boys boarding school with strict rules, and no access to women whatsoever. Even the internet at the boarding school has been programmed to block images of women.

John devoted a huge chunk of his life to trying to be a professional gamer: a pursuit that was mocked by many, including his own parents. Now, in his 30s, with a wasted decade behind him, he’s starting to realize that maybe the critics were right to mock him. He’s jobless, has no degree, and he’s single…but there is a girl.

Bug never had any luck with women, because he just wasn’t very interesting. He had nothing to say on dates because he really didn’t have any hobbies. Well, he used to play bass guitar back in high school—so in an attempt to make himself more interesting, he finds a casual band that needs a bass player. One thing leads to another, and suddenly, Bug’s band is looking to play a serious set on a major national broadcast. When their singer drops out due to stage fright, Bug is forced to step up to the mic.
