It’s been approximately 80 years since society crumbled. It seems that people were fascinated with speculating on how society would crumble. Would it be zombies, natural disaster, climate change, aliens, revolt of the machines, collapse of the machines, or some type of rapture or asteroid that comes instantly? Well, it ended up being almost all of those things. However, it didn’t happen quickly. It didn’t happen like some type of two hour blockbuster film. It was a slow and steady collapse.

Having a child is easy. Raising a child is not. No job is more important, frustrating, or rewarding than raising a happy, confident, and successful child. Raising happy, capable children is one part science, and two parts art. No two children are exactly the same. Each child has his own strengths and weaknesses. Each child has a unique set of challenges. One child might be great at school while struggling socially, while another may have plenty of friends but struggle to deal with their emotions.

Lou Henderson, a party store clerk, wakes to find herself bound to a bed by hard leather cuffs. She is convinced that she's been abducted and being hold captive somewhere when a nurse informs her she's actually on suicide watch in the hospital psych ward. Lou has no recollection of a suicide attempt. She was just at a party with friends, for God's sake! Despite her vigorous protests, Lou has no choice but to stay on the ward for the allotted 72 hours. Lost and alone, Lou befriends an experienced psych ward traveler named Mel.

All religions, all ideologies, and all the schools of thought that have been introduced to us at one point or another came from them. They were ploys to distract us from the issue that would ensure our survival. We were fed lies about places like heaven and hell to keep us wishing for that afterlife. We stopped seeing the earth for what it really was: an experimental proving ground. We are their guinea pigs. We were fed so much indoctrination that we completely lost sight of what was, yet their mistake was mixing some of the truth with their lies.
