The death of Eldorat has more far reaching implications than sparking the V'kit'no'sat civil war. Other races have taken notice as well, for, while hidden, they have many scouts out searching the galaxy to keep them informed of the status of the Hadarak war and many other things.

The fracturing of the V'kit'no'sat Empire has now come to fruition, but the full-fledged civil war has not resulted.
