The Tommy Lee Trilogy

Tommy Lee, not quite 18, shows up at a real cow outfit the morning after his high school graduation ceremony. He is long on cowboy skills but short on social skills, and his job on the Cow Creek Ranch will put him in situations he's not prepared to deal with. Wanting to make a hand and be somebody, Tommy throws in with some very experienced older men who aren't afraid to use their knowledge and expertise to gain wealth quickly. There is nothing far-fetched about this story - you might even say it's dangerously close to the truth.

Tommy Lee is a rising star of pro-rodeo saddle bronc riding when he wonders if he should trade in his fame and fortune in the rodeo scene for an honest job on the T6 Ranch, punching cows. Following a series of accidents that threatens the chain of command on the T6 Ranch, Tommy Lee finds himself saddled with more responsibility than his young shoulders have ever borne. The voices of the individuals surrounding him echo the voices in his head, some telling him that he doesn't have what it takes to do his job, and others telling him that he's the only one who can do what needs to be done.
