About this listen
Will and Aaron Taylor have a perfectly imperfect marriage. For 20 years, even when their desires haven’t quite matched, they’ve always found ways to adapt…until now. When Aaron’s needs push past his Dom’s limits, their best hope for compromise is finding a unicorn — a third person who checks both men's boxes.
After his estranged father wills him a house he doesn’t want in a town he doesn’t know, Kelly Griffith is itching to find his place in this unfamiliar new world. When he finds an ad from a couple looking for a sub like him, he jumps at the opportunity. A chance to be what someone needs and wants instead of being a perpetual disappointment? Yes, please.
The chemistry sizzles from the get-go. Will and Aaron insist they don’t want to be poly, and Kelly doesn’t want to be anyone’s third wheel, but playing together? Any time, any place. All they have to do is keep emotions from joining the party as the trust and intimacy deepen between them.
But by the time they realize they’re in over their heads, hitting the brakes is no longer as simple as using a safe word.
Extra Whip is a Venti-sized (140,000-word) stand-alone novel in the Bold Brew shared universe centered around an inclusive coffee shop set in a fictional small city. Each steaming hot coffee shop romance can be enjoyed alone, but collect all 10 for the most fun! This ménage romance contains a happily married couple in their 40s, a sassy 30-something submissive, lots of fluffy steam, and a guaranteed happy ending!

loved it
This book was extra indeed. EXTRAordinary.
I found out about this book when I asked about some book recs on a Fb group, and I decided to give it a chance because I've read one other book from this author and really liked her style. I still have the same opinion.
This book was amazing. It had something I've never read before, and it was super interesting. I won't say what cuz that would be a spoiler, but it has something to do with Kelly's hard limits. This made the dynamic even more interesting for me.
The funny part of this story was that the characters came together in an unexpected way. We have an established couple, Will and Aaron, and then we have Kelly, a sub that has that sometimes EXTRA the two of them needed. He's a unicorn. Sweet, sweet boy.
I loved watching them fall in love without either one of them realizing. It was cute, and I think it just showed how amazing their chemistry was.
Another thing I loved about the book is how real it was. How real the characters were. Will and Aaron communicated in almost a perfect way with each other ( we had some moments, but that's for you to find out if you are interested ). They had their own insecurities and fears, and it was nice seeing them navigate that path. Kelly came into this relationship with his own set of issues, baggage, and trauma, and his partners really helped him navigate through all that. I loved how reassuring they were, how mindful of his feelings. It truly is beautiful to see that.
I also loved how, in the end, Kelly still had issues. Nothing was solved miraculously, but he started the process, and you can see the progress from the first chapter until we read "THE END." It showed how trauma, grief, and insecurities cannot be cured in a heartbeat, but as long as you have a support system and you're willing to pun in the work you'll be fine.
If you are looking for a good MMM story that focuses on the characters, growth, love, and communication, then this is the book for you.
10/10, for sure recommend.

Great for the kink-curious
If you're kink-curious, this is a great book. If you want to get an idea of how a sub-Dom relationship should work, this is a great book. If you simply want to get turned on, this is a great book (assuming kink isn't an issue). As ever with LA Witt, we spend a lot of time in the characters' heads. This time though, there's more action, more interactions, which give the novel life and drive. The book's 13+ hours rattle past and will bear subsequent re-listenings.
It's a pity so few titles of this multi-author series are available from Audible. Michael Ferraiulo does his usual excellent job.
