About the Author: Cornita’s education is focused on the creative arts. A degree from Norfolk State University was followed by an international transfer to London, England, where she studied fashion design and journalism as part of the American Intercontinental College. Writing from personal experience, Cornita Cole became part of a four-family kidney sharing swap as part of the kidney pairing exchange program when her daughter contracted kidney disease. Inspired by her granddaughter, Cornita saw a need to both teach and comfort children who might be going through a similar situation. A New Kidney for Mom is her first book for children.
