David Challen is a domestic abuse survivor, campaigner, writer, advisor and keynote speaker. In 2019, David successfully campaigned free his mother, Sally Challen, after almost a decade in prison for the killing of his father, Richard, in a landmark appeal that made headlines around the world. His campaign helped recognise the lifetime of coercive control his mother suffered at the hands of his father and give voice to the abuse his family witnessed in a case that created national awareness of coercive control. David continues to speak out against men's violence against women and the impact of coercive control on children, as well as men's role in tackling misogyny. David is an advisor to the Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England and Wales and an Ambassador for the Prison Advice and Care Trust (PACT) and the Employers' Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA). THE UNTHINKABLE is David’s first book, sharing his untold story. Twitter/X - @David_Challen Instagram - @DavidChallen
