Dr. Edith Shiro is a distinguished clinical psychologist in private practice in Miami, Florida. She specializes in Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). She is the acclaimed author of The Unexpected Gift of Trauma: The Path to Posttraumatic Growth, which has garnered numerous prestigious awards, including the International Latino Book Award (2023 and 2024), Best Psychology Book for International Impact Book Award, and the Reader Favorite Book Award. Dr. Shiro offers workshops on trauma-based therapy for mental health professionals and is a frequent guest on TV networks, such as Univision and Telemundo, podcasts, and radio programs.
