With a background in psychology and a diverse career history, Genevieve holds a distinct purpose within her writing. In her early years of service, Genevieve immersed herself into the public school system as a special education paraprofessional, study hall teacher and security monitor, which allowed her to take part actively with children of all ages, including IEP meetings. Later, Genevieve became a court appointed child advocate for children in foster care and a certified mediator. This type of work only added to Genevieve’s catalog of knowledge. As an avid advocate for mental health awareness, Genevieve strives to offer versatility and inclusion. For being in a classroom setting with students helped shape her into the empathetic author today. Since stepping away from the traditional school system, Genevieve turned to homeschooling her own children. This is when she saw a need and wanted to help provide support for other families as they struggled to find resources that worked.
