Gerry C Starnes, M.Ed. is a best-selling non-fiction author, including the award-winning "Spirit Paths: The Quest for Authenticity," as well as numerous other personal development publications, videos, and podcasts. Trained in counseling, philosophy, and psychology, his publications offer realistic, earth-based approaches to healing and growth. His interest in experiential personal development led to publishing two best-selling Kindle books, "The Shamanic Journey: An introduction to Journeying" and "Power Animals: The Role of Spirit Guides in the Shamanic Journey." He is also the author of the six-volume, historically-based Druid Twilight saga (2013-2022). Threaded through the political intrigues of first century wars between the Roman legions and British tribes, the books explore the central questions: who were the Druids and from where did they come? It is an expansive tale of love, intrigue, betrayal, death, and also personal evolution. In the series, readers follow the characters through life-changing experiences and personal struggles to grow into roles that seem both pre-ordained and in some ways also impossible. Gerry currently offers individual and group classes, workshops, and retreats based on contemporary shamanic and traditional personal development practices. He is a founding member of the Society for Shamanic Practitioners and the founder and organizer of the Shamanic Community of Austin.
