My formative years unfolded in a quaint Missouri town, a place etched in my memory by the grit of wrestling mats and the thrill of varsity baseball. Graduating in the twilight of the 90s, I embarked on a journey to the University of Central Missouri, immersing myself in the disciplines of physical education and English composition. Colorado Springs, subsequently, became my adopted haven, a sanctuary I cherished deeply. The pull of family, however, led me back to Kansas City, where marriage blossomed and three remarkable children enriched my life. When our youngest reached the age of three, we heeded the siren call of the mountains, returning to Colorado to forge a new chapter. Having returned to Kansas City with my three children, I've enthusiastically resumed my writing career, a passion initially ignited during my college years but subsequently dormant. My life has been a vibrant tapestry woven with diverse experiences: the exhilarating travels of my early twenties, a period encompassing my role as an assistant boxing trainer, followed by an unexpected chapter with a minor league baseball team, where I served as both assistant strength and conditioning coach and clubhouse manager.
