A 5th-generation Missourian, Jesse Crain lives on a little piece of land in mid-American farm country. She's been called a Critter Magnet, and is currently working on her third book, a collection of pet stories, which will include the tale of Tripod Jack and the Red Satin Double-Barrel Slingshot. Her hobbies include reading, genealogy, baking, gardening and playing Ragtime on her 1914 upright piano.
