PENNY FIELDS-SCHNEIDER worked as a Registered Nurse before completing a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education, and henceforth, redesigning her life as a secondary teacher. An avid reader from a very young age, Penny has always aspired to write. In recent years, Penny became seduced by the world of art, dabbling with brushes and paint, attending courses and visiting galleries. Her love of art inspired the writing of her first novel, which grew into the Portraits in Blue series. In unfolding the journey of her fictitious character, Jack Tomlinson, she has relished researching the 1930s art worlds of London, Paris, Spain and Australia. Penny is passionate about creating works of historical fiction that leave readers with a deeper understanding of the art world as well as taking readers on emotional journeys into the joy and heartbreak that comes with family, friendship and love.
