I am a sixty-year-old backhoe operator. It seems odd, I know, that I would be writing a book. I would have never guessed thirty years ago that I would learn to love to write. If someone would have walked up to me and said, “Robert, you are going to fall in love with words.” I probably would have laughed at them. But as fate, irony, and life would have it I did learn to love to write. Today’s world is filled with thousands of books and media outlets inundating us with the politics of the day. Hot button issues are strewn all around us like minefields, waiting for us to step on one so it can blow up in our face. It makes us want to stick our heads in the sand. I will not do that. I will not give you a reason to stick your head the sand, and I will not ask you to make a choice between this or that, or to pick a side. I will only convey that we’re all here for a reason; that we are all different and unique, but similar in many ways. I love words that evoke thought, emotion, inspiration and hope for the future. It isn’t easy finding what you truly love to do in life, but I have: to write. My hope is that something I write magnifies the good in your life and hope for your future. God Bless Robert
