Sherry V. Ostroff earned a Bachelor’s in education from Temple University and a Master’s in history from Millersville University. She has taught all levels: elementary, secondary and college. Ostroff happily devotes her time to writing, her family, and traveling around the world. She lives with her high school sweetheart in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The author's first book is THE LUCKY ONE. It is based on her mother's memoir detailing her frightening escape from Eastern Europe in the 1920's. Ostroff's second book, CALEDONIA, is an award-winning historical novel about two women living 300 years apart but bound by mysterious circumstances. The story covers a little known historical event that changed the course of history. Midwest Book Reviews calls Caledonia "Exquisitely compelling." The sequel, MANNAHATTA, was published in 2021. Kirkus Reviews says this about the book: "This exciting, well-written historical novel will delight fans of this genre." EXPULSION, A NOVEL OF THE SPANISH INQUISITION, is the author's third historical novel about the horrors of the Inquisition, the injustice of the Edict of Expulsion, and one woman's attempt to survive them both. Editorial Reviews: A 5 star winner from Reader's Favorite. "While you read this book, you will experience many emotions as you watch love, horror, violence, hate, jealousy, death, torture, and family unity unfold before your eyes in one novel and done so spectacularly. " Literary Titan - "EXPULSION is a spellbinding and sophisticated novel that is emotional, dramatic, and entertaining." SPR - "The depth of research behind this novel is undeniably impressive, as is Ostroff's mastery of suspense and dialogue. " Midwest Book Reviews - If only one book were to be chosen about the Inquisition's experience, it should be EXPULSION." Ostroff's latest book is THE WALL AT THE SUGAR FACTORY. "This is an exceptional book, an amazing story, and one that lifts the human spirit despite the atrocities that occur within. I can highly recommend this read; it is a wonderful story." Five Stars - Litarary Titan; "...a thought-provoking, powerful novel of survival and social change...." Midwest Book Reviews.
