I'm an L.A.-based gal (for 45 years) originally from Cleveland, Ohio. When I'm not authoring and ghostwriting books, writing scripts, producing for TV and Film, or praising the Lord, I'm just breathing. LOL. My work focuses on pop culture, Africa, Black culture and identity. A graduate of Boston University, I've written for Ebony, Forbes, and MovieMaker magazines, among others. I've produced and written programming for CBS, NBC, TVOne, BET, The Africa Channel, Travel Channel, A&E, and TVLand, along with syndicated programming across multiple cable and streaming networks that have earned me an Emmy Award and two NAACP Image Award nominations.
