Stefano Amadei was born in Varese on 28 October 1974. After graduating, he passionately dedicated himself to writing, specialising in stories, fairy tales and tales for children. In 2012 she won second prize in the literary competition ‘Sassi&Parole’, thanks to the short story ‘Mai Stata Sognata’, a touching tale that explores the world of dreams through the eyes of a little girl. In 2014, she published Racconti Svolazzanti (Flyaway Tales), a collection of twelve illustrated fairy tales for children, which was an international success, so much so that it was translated into three languages. 2018 marks a turning point in her career with the publication of her first novel, L'Opificio dei Colori, followed in 2020 by L'Inferno di Malinverno, a work that pays homage to Dante's Inferno, dedicating an entire book to the devil Malinverno, one of his favourite characters. In 2021, with I Sogni di Lenticchia (Lentil's Dreams), he gives readers a collection of fables with a simple and classic flavour, in which his unmistakable narrative delicacy shines through. The following year, in 2022, he published Succo Concentrato di Venti Limoni - Formula Originale e Prodigiosa (Concentrated Juice of Twenty Lemons - Original and Prodigious Formula), a brilliant adventure starring twins Maurizio and Susanna, intent on improbable scientific experiments that are solved thanks to a secret ingredient. In 2024, he explored new narrative horizons with Sulla Linea dell'Orizzonte - L'Ultimo Viaggio dei Pirati (On the Horizon Line - The Last Voyage of the Pirates), a gripping novel that mixes adventure and mystery, enriching his literary production with a work that promises to fascinate both young readers and adults. Stefano Amadei lives in Ispra with his wife Tiziana and his daughter Ivana, continuing to enchant both young and old readers with his stories full of imagination and humanity.
