Ash and Charlie's romance gave me all the sweet holiday feels. Because I've been keeping up with the main Magi Accounts storyline, their pairing wasn't a huge surprise to me, but it was still wonderful to watch their connection evolve over time. Charlie was such an earnest, caring sweetheart, and it was so cute to see how fumbly and nervous he got around Ash after their first kiss. I wish this story had been told in a dual narrative so I could have known where Ash's head was at in those early stages, but instead I was just as in the dark and desperately hopeful as Charlie. I understood Charlie's hesitation to push for more with Ash, especially given how new his addition to the pack was, but every time Ash and Charlie spent a night cuddled up together for comfort my heart melted a little more. I wanted to groan every time Charlie chickened out of asking Ash on a date, or even just for another kiss, but luckily Ash plucked up the courage before Charlie could stew too much. For drawing things out so much in the beginning, once they got on the same page, their physical relationship took off quickly. I certainly wasn't complaining about how eager the two of them were to explore each other, and knowing that chemistry was rooted in a deep emotional connection only made it more satisfying for me. With the will-they/won't-they drama aside, the rest of the novella was a fun Christmas celebration with Secret Santa gifts, Solstice preparations, and all the silly Pride bonding moments I adore so much. Mixed in with the laughter and fun were some tough reminders of the scars this family carries from their pasts, but with such a strong support system, no one had to struggle through the holidays on their own. I'd consider this the most upbeat storyline in the series so far, and it was the perfect length to enjoy in a single sitting.

Narrator’s performance was absolutely amazing!

Ash and Charlie stole my heart: they were so freaking sweet. These two tippy toed around each other for ages. I enjoyed their banter and sweet moments together.

It was great to listen to this audiobook performed by Zachary Zaba over the holiday season. I loved Zaba’s different voices for each character.

Charlie is so sweet! I love my shifters! And I absolutely loved hearing him and Ash get together.

The union felt realistic, heartfelt and Ash’s protectiveness was really hot. It was great to hear Charlie’s growing confidence in himself. The presents everyone got for each other were so thoughtful.

The Ono-Nais are such a close knit pride and it was so fun to spend time with them again, especially seeing how they celebrate the holidays. The epilogue was the perfect ending.

I am a fan to hear the audiobooks of the books I love... so, of course, this one was a must for me and it was an amazing gift. The story is beautiful, full of heartwarming amazing moments between Charlie and Ash and their founded family during Christmas. It is about love, family, acceptance and how Holidays are meant to bring everyone together. It was a perfect glimpse into the life to all our beloved characters and in special, a little glimpse into Charlie and Ash's. Regarding the performance, Zachary Zaba made a great work with all the characters and emotions and I enjoyed so much his voice and how managed the story. Loved it!

This story of Charlie and Ash and how they get together during the holidays is a wonderful present for fans of the series. A kiss under the mistletoe that is so much more than Charlie imagined starts these two off here and the fun and romance don't stop until we have an exchange of Christmas presents that will make you smile and tear up at the same time and an Epilogue that cements the HEA. Zachary Zaba gives a wonderful performance that makes this story shine.

I enjoyed this holiday story as the mage Ash gets to experience the whole holiday tradition for the first time after years spent at the abusive Magi Compound. He also gets closer to Charlie, a shifter in the Ono Nais pride. It's mostly a sweet story, with the mages all getting to fully experience the traditions they were never allowed at the compound. It's a bit of a break from the breakneck action and drama on the main books. There is a little angst and drama from memories, flash-backs, and panic attacks related to past experiences, but nothing severe or on page. It's just the pride enjoying and sharing the holiday, including shopping and gift-giving, and Charlie and Ash getting to know one another better. (MUCH better.) If you are looking for the usual angst, trauma, and drama from the main books, you may be disappointed. This one is more fluff and fun. I enjoyed seeing the pride get a break and get a chance to enjoy the holiday and each other.

The narration was good, but some voices were a little similar, and sometimes I had to replay a section to remember who was speaking.

I’m loving Michele Notaro’s The Magi Accounts stories and this one was no exception. It’s Ash and Charlie’s story. A quiet love story that starts with a kiss under the Christmas Mistletoe and culminates in way more.

Ash has never really celebrated Christmas. On the Magi compound, such things were forbidden. He’s been exposed to a bit of the magic of the season, but never had a full-on Christmas. Charlie and the rest of his pride aim to change that. They’re dedicated to making the holidays the best ever – especially for the motley crew they’ve taken in since last Christmas.

Trust has never been Ash’s strength, but as he settles into the pride house – and falls in love with Charlie - all that changes.

This story has a bit of violence – as is befitting the series. It also has so many little touching moments. I won’t mention all of them, but I will say the Ash’s gift to Charlie left me a little teary. Throw in rescue animals and a huge house of love, and you’ve got a great story. So glad I listened.

Zachary Zaba is a fantastic narrator and he did a great job with this series. I’m so glad I listened.

I really like The Magi Accounts Series and enjoyed this Christmas story.
The writing style is wonderful as always and the world is described in detail. Unlike the other books in the series, there isn't quite as much suspense as before. But that doesn't matter, because there are still memories that cause panic attacks and flashbacks that remind us of a not-so-good time.
The magician Ash experiences Christmas and all its holiday traditions for the first time in years. This was not allowed in the abusive Magi Compound.
Ash and Charlie's story begins with a kiss under mistletoe and then develops into so much more. In the end, I found Ash's gift to Charlie very touching. Basically, the novella is humorous with a great Christmas and funny moments. In the series, it's a more lighthearted book and it fits perfectly for Christmas. An entertaining book that I listened to in one go.

Zachary Zaba narrated the audiobook and he did a good job. I could usually tell the voices of the protagonists apart, although I found that some were very similar.

I don’t think prior reading is absolutely required, most things are explained enough without spoiling previous books unnecessarily, just some needed facts. I didn’t got lost as it usually happens to me, I really like and need a good introduction to the worldbuilding, with this book was no need.
It’s a cute, fluffy story with hints of some horrible things happening to various characters in their past, but without giving any details. This spoiled the book a little for me, or maybe it was too goofy or plain, I don’t know. The epilogue is beautiful though.
