One second this guy is screaming, the next he is whispering so quiet I can barely make our a word. I constantly have to change my volume.

The story is awesome though, I should've read.

Good book which follows the formula of the unwilling hero blundering through a plot much bigger and more complex than his simple self. Not earth shattering but a good read. Only gripe is that the narrator sees fit to narrate Dunk's internal thoughts with whispers which while great if your reading it yourself, does not lend itself to easy listening un audiobook form.

loved it!
I do own the physical book and have read it before, enjoyed it so much I thought I'd get the audio version for my commute.
Fantastic narration and how he embodies the characters is just wonderful. Especially Dunk and Egg.

Overall it's lighter in tone than A Song Of Ice And Fire, which makes for an easier read, but some of the darker elements are still alluded to.

My one complaint is that it can be difficult to follow some of the supporting characters in the first and last story, as there are just so many of them and trying to remember who's who, what their names are and where their alliances lay can become confusing. That being said it didn't diminish my enjoyment and the narrator does remedy this somewhat by giving all the characters different accents.

Loved this so much i had read the books but having Harry Lloyd narrate was genius would be great if he were to narrate the yet unwritten GRR's ASOIAF books

Enjoyed being back in the world of The Game of Thrones! A nice easy read after the intensity of A Song of Ice and Fire.
I loved hearing the names of great houses we have come to know from the series and characters we already know of, like a Targaryen maester in training!
All in all a sweet story of an unlikely friendship!

Iv read all the asoiaf series and needed more, this sufficed. Expanding on the world we already know, it's a great side story set in the land of targaryen rule, exploring rebellions and sowing the seeds of the ultimate downfall of the house. Referencing familiar characters like maester amon and blood raven. Definitely worth it, good entertaining narration too, he nails it.

Great compilation of the Dunk and Eg short stories. Very funny with a great look at the world of Westeros before The War of the Usurper

Story and narration were great, it's a tale of a poor Hedge Knight working through a difficult and troubled life in a very different yet familiar Westeros.

The story had me cringing and wanting to shout at the characters at times, just like GoT.
