About this listen
The horrific suicide of a successful Lithuanian entrepreneur shocks newly appointed Chief Constable Bob Skinner and his colleagues. Why would a man with everything to live for take his own life? As enquiries begin, a mystery girl, drugged and incoherent, is dumped in a health centre by a mysterious Galahad, who promptly disappears. Who is she, who is he, and where has he gone? Is it coincidence that most of the massage parlours in the city have suddenly closed overnight? A terrifying trail of deception and revenge leads Skinner and his people to a bloody encounter and a dramatic confrontation…

A Rush of Blood by Quintin Jardine
I enjoyed reading this one and look forward to the next book to see what happens next to the different characters.

Reads Like a Screenplay
I got this because it had some good reviews. But I just found it boring. I listened to it for an hour hoping that it would pick up, but it didn't. It read just like a screenplay in that it was just continuous dialogue, conversations with no descriptions about the people, what they did, where they went to. I would have liked to read about what the people were thinking, flashbacks to childhood memories, something other than constant talking.

disappointing
the characters in this book are not well defined and you dont have any empathy with any of them. Its slow starting and doesn't really gain any pace, to be honest I listened to half of it and abandoned it for something else, and went back to finish it when i had nothing else to do. its a story you've heard or seen on the tv many times before and i was hoping for a lot more.

Very slow starter
This is the slowest starting book that I have encountered. 1.5 hrs into the book and the background continues. I gave up hoping the story would ever start after 1 3/4 hrs.
