I’ve loved all of the books I’ve read by Gabbi Grey and this one is no exception. I don’t think all authors can write good short stories/short novellas but Gabbi Grey does. This is an instant connection story with a cute dog and a very satisfying HEA.

Michael Dean did his usual great job performing this audiobook. He really makes the characters come to life.

This was a short novella that I really enjoyed. It was the perfect length for my commute to and from work. I loved the mild “mistaken” identity trope. Derek has been through a lot, and he’s initially suspicious of the hot bartender who flirts with him. Yet, despite the emotional baggage, Derek and Ace find their way together surrounded by a great community. I really enjoyed this story and thought the audiobook was just well narrated by Michael Dean.

Good short story.
when Derek moved to the back of nowhere he thought he would become celibate but then he met Harold. After a miss communication thing started to go on track. sweet second chance for both men looking for their forever
Micheal Dean's narration was good, portrayed Derek as a quiet man while Harold was very much in charge going for what he wanted

I love small town romance and this was just perfect and I think that it's a great summer read too. It was sweet and romantic, the chemistry between Ace and Derek was great!
The narrator was amazing, he did an absolutely amazing job bringing the story to life.

I've been hitting the jackpot with Michael Dean performances on audio book lately, and this one is no exception. He captures Derek's exhaustion and almost bitterness at the beginning perfectly and then we can hear his attitude change as he meets Ace and their relationship develops from friendship to much more. There were some nice twists in the story and everything was nicely tied up at the end.

A cute story by Gabbi Grey with two likeable men who are just what the other needed. The story, even though it being short, was well rounded with a hea for them and Benjamin 🐶. 📚 4*
Michael Dean is a reliable and fitting narrator who did the story justice. 🎧 4,5* Overall 4,25

I loved the chemistry and the evolution of the relationship. The way they tried to fight the inevitable and the push and pull was so enjoyable. There was also some amazing narration in this one which entertained me even more. So good.
