About this listen
Daniel Chai only ever wanted to be an Adventurer. Born with a gift of healing that steals his memories and past experiences as its fuel source, Daniel must weigh his heart's desire with his gift as he attempts to clear his first ever dungeon.
Along the way, he'll meet true friends like the Catkin Asin and the Northerner Omrak as he learns what it truly takes to be a professional Adventurer in Brad.
The Adventures on Brad is a light fantasy-novel set in a LitRPG world where everyone is born with a Status Screen and Classes.
This bundle collects the first arc of the adventures of Daniel and friends in Karlak and the Beginner Dungeon. The bundle includes audiobooks one to three:
- A Healer's Gift
- An Adventurer's Heart
- A Dungeon's Soul
overall a good book and seems to get better with each one
Pretty good, worth a listen

We learn next to nothing about his development during the mines or why he left other than 'because he wanted to' and kind of just cruises along dungeon diving with people fighting for him because he knows how to heal.
Some of the characters and world building are interesting, It just seemed to me that after the first 12 hours or so of listening that I didn't actually care. The lack of direction and motive was not there.
This is definitely one of the weaker works that Tao wong has made compared to his others. I'm still a fan, just not this.
Complete lack of direction

well if you have the same reservations I am here to reassure you.
the gift is rarely used as a driving plot device in the story. it's always there and we aren't allowed to forget out, but this is a full and complete story regardless of if this had been here. the characters are great, the world interesting and seems alive even when the MC is not looking at it...
and the story is a lot of fun. i really enjoyed my time in Brad and you should give it a chance too...
Eric Martin did a adequate job even if this is not a genre he is familiar with. He had a few things in the start of book 1 (like describing 3-7 of a weapon damage as 3 minus 7) but by book 2 their were gone and even the ones I noticed wasn't horrible or pull me out of it.
surprisingly enjoyable
