About this listen

A library girl with a secret. A dark and fiery prince. When he awakens her magic, there's no going back.

The Solaris Empire is one conquest away from uniting the continent, and the rare elemental magic sleeping in seventeen-year-old library apprentice Vhalla Yarl could shift the tides of war.

Vhalla has always been taught to fear the Tower of Sorcerers, a mysterious magic society, and has been happy in her quiet world of books. But after she unknowingly saves the life of one of the most powerful sorcerers of them all—the Crown Prince Aldrik—she finds herself enticed into his world.

Now she must decide her future: Embrace her sorcery and leave the life she's known, or eradicate her magic and remain as she's always been. And with powerful forces lurking in the shadows, Vhalla's indecision could cost her more than she ever imagined.

Get ready for an epic fantasy, filled with romance and adventure, in Air Awakens, the first book in a completed five book series. This recording is the second edition audiobook, released in 2022.

couldn't finish.

I don't know if it's the narrator's meek voice or the fact that the book seems to have been written by a fourteen-year-old. The MC is super weakly written, where her only trait is biting her lips and being weak and timid. The men are all "bad guys" and I just got sick of the whole wife beater vibe I got from them. I honestly can't believe this book is for real.

Slow and Unsatisfying.🥺

Air Awakens: Air Awakens Series, Book 1

Vhalla is nearly 18 years old when she discovers she has magic. It's a type that hasn't been seen in nearly 150 years! ✨️🌪 She's extremely reluctant to believe she's becoming a sorcerer as magic is feared and looked down upon.🥺

Prince Aldrik, Heir to the empire, isn't well liked or supported. As a sorcerer, he's always been vilified by the people and especially the senators!🤨 When Vhalla's burgeoning new magic helps save him from a fatal war wound, he starts to take an interest in her abilities and her!👀

I found this to be an odd book. It doesn't really go anywhere. It's all quite static. A friendship grows, but they don't really trust each other. When Vhalla seems to be fighting deeper feelings, he does too, kind of, but he still seems to have schemes in play. I don't know. It seemed like it was a lot of words for not much pay off.🤷🏻‍♀️

A good audiobook.🎧👏
