New to anxiety then this puts it into prospective

I've not been suffering with anxiety for long just over 8 months now, my dad who also suffers with depression and anxiety said that maybe reading about it will help me understand what I'm going through more and make me realise that it is something I can learn to live with. I cam across this book and the title sounded exactly how I was feeling, when I listened to the sample and johua starts listing off all the side affects and feeling that comes with anxiety I instantly felt relieved that I wasn't going mad and every ache and pain was all due to anxiety. It's made me feel more at ease with it all and this book is easy to listen honestly you will find yourself nodding along when he starts mentioning all the different scenarios etc thank you johua

It helped

I've dealt with anxiety for years and years. I never understood the condition and unfortunately doctors did not take it very seriously and completely failed to explain the condition, so I could understand what the hell was going on. I was constantly told "it's probably depression", but I've never really had any symptoms of depression. I've never felt numb or not cared, the problem was the total opposite. I started developing insomnia and I didn't sleep for weeks. There is still a long way to go for me, but listening to this book gave me a much better understanding of what I'm dealing with. Blaming all my issues on anxiety and believing that this condition is not to be feared or permanent has helped me get back on the path to fight it, and already I can feel changes. Thank you so much, I'm am finally having some hope.

It saved me

I had my first panic episode 1 November 2020. I can't be the only one in covid times, right? I'm a therapist and thought I understood anxiety but it's different when it's happening to you. Joshua's voice is soothing and comforting and puts really scary symptoms into perspective. It's not judgemental on any level and really helps you get a handle on heavy stuff without triggering you. Section 4 has a panic attack sos which honestly made me cry with relief. I will relisten to it every time I'm anxious

A life saving audiobook

This truly is the most amazing audiobook if you’re suffering from anxiety and don’t know where to turn. Having never listened to an audiobook, I thought I’d give it a try as I just didn’t know where else to turn. Within a few minutes I felt calmer, sane and not alone! I listen most days now to remind myself that ‘anxiety can not hurt me, it’s just a feeling’ . Thank you Joshua

Informative and Inspiring!

This book has taught me more about panic disorder than any health professional, or other source, in the years I’ve suffered from it. It’s given me back something I lost long ago - hope and confidence I can overcome it.

Educational, amusing, easy to digest, it’s a genuinely great listen for anyone who has panic disorder, or wants to better understand and support a loved one who does.

When I feel myself wobbling now, I actually hear Josh’s voice saying “just sit with it, you aren’t in danger, it’s adrenalin, you got this!”
