Summary
Embark on an epic journey in this all-star cast audio dramatisation of Around the World in 80 Days. This new Original drama features best-in-class performances from Golden Globe-nominee, Emmy-nominee and multiple BAFTA-nominee Toby Jones (The Girl, Directorists, The Hunger Games) as Phileas Fogg, George Blagden (Versailles, Black Mirror, Vikings) as Jean Passerpartout and Don Gilet (Eastenders, Dr Who) as Detective Fix amongst others.
One of the most celebrated tales of all time, Around the World in 80 Days is part high-octane thriller, part fascinating fantasy travelogue. Pragmatic gambler Phileas Fogg has made a gentlemanly wager to the members of his exclusive club: that he can circle the world in just 80 days, right down to the minute.
Fetching his newly appointed French valet, Fogg embarks on a fabulous journey across land and sea - by steamer, rail, and elephant - to win the bet of a lifetime.
Inspired by Jules Verne’s own sea travels and his fascination with circumnavigating the globe, the avid dreamer's picaresque voyage inspired generations of adventurers who were eager to best Verne's challenge - from 19th century journalist Nellie Bly to Monty Python's Michael Palin.
Featuring: George Blagden, Christopher Brandon, John Chancer, Scarlett Courtney, Josh Cowdery, Tim Delap, Sartaj Garewal, Don Gilet, Chris Grahamson, David Holt, Ryan Forde Iosco, Toby Jones, Peter Luke Kenny, Naveed Khan, Christos Lawton, Jack Monaghan, Raad Rawi, Vineeta Rishi, Luke Roskell, Richard Rycroft, Adam Sims, Thomas Stroppel, Homer Todiwala, Matilda Tucker, Amy Vicary-Smith, Julian Wadham, Georgia Warlow, Orlando Wells, Sarah Whitehouse and Sam Woolf.

Absolutely perfect!!
Felt like I was a kid again, wonderfully narrated. This was my favourite book as a kid and it was great having it read in such a way. Really felt part of it.

THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE RADIO PRODUCTION
This is an excellent production that flows beautifully. Great acting by Toby Jones and credit to the rest of the cast who bring the story and all the characters to life. Have listened 3 times since purchasing, it is good clean entertainment that makes me smile. Well done all. 👍

very nice listen
not much to say about the story I well known and wonderful, but I really loved the narration, every important character has its own voice and as I usually do not like music in audiobooks it felt right in this one. accents nice as well.

Delightful listen
I enjoyed this book very much. It was most entertaining. I have not read the original book but I have watched the movie and found this audio version equally as enjoyable. The narration was excellent. I highly recommend this version for anyone wanting some light entertainment.

True to the book
I am one of those readers who hates the original book to be messed about with. I enjoyed this version, although it is a dramatisation it sticks to the dialogue, themes and plot. The voices are distinct so no confusion as to who is talking. An excellent rendition of this classic tale of adventure, travelogue and (just a hint of) romance. This story was written at a time of English colonialism, and some may find offence at attitudes but I find it refreshing that Audible has not tried to cleanse these sections but have kept true to the original book. Don't be put off by this, as this is a great book that can still be enjoyed in the 21st Century.

Fantastic audio play
probably on of the best versions of this story I've heard of, with performances on par with the larger than life characters.

A fun romp
Enjoyed this, as long as not taken too seriously - never read the original book but I’ve started watching film versions before and not sure if I made it to the end! Good cast
