About this listen

The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Eoin Colfer’s Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception read by the actor Gerry O’Brien.

Evil pixie, Opal Koboi, is back and she’s more dangerous than ever. This time she doesn’t just want power over the fairy People - this time she wants the humans too. Captain Holly Short is the only fairy with a hope of stopping her, but as Holly knows, it takes one genius criminal mastermind to fight another. But the 14-year-old genius that Holly is thinking of doesn’t even remember that fairies exist. How is she going to convince Artemis Fowl to help her stop Opal? Gold usually does the trick, and this time is should be no different. Or is Artemis changing?

Very enjoyable

I would recommend listening to these books in order. If you have you'll enjoy the further character development and the arc they are on. Our protagonists don't simply start and finish in the same position as many books do.
The narrator is great and still has the voices of all the characters very believably.
The story itself is fun, funny and clever without being complicated.
I have been really enjoying these books and the characters and will definitely be picking up the next book.

Great

The different voices for each character add a new dimension to the story which make it extremely emersive to listen to. It's not too long either which is great!

Great Continuation

Another one of Eion's great books. It was another incredible continuation to the series, and somehow I've grown to love these characters even more...

It was hilarious throughout, heartbreaking at times, but most importantly, kept me listening till the very end.
