I thoroughly enjoyed this book first time round and decided to listen to it again ahead of listening to the next book in the series 'beautiful savage ' (which is equally as good by the way) I loved the way this book was written, with chapters from Rocco and Sloan as well a few chapters from Nicoli from his perspective, especially as the second book is his story, it really gave his character more depth heading into his book. I great start from this fantastic pair and what is shaping up to be a brilliant series of books. not forgetting the excellent narration, top notch performance.

I enjoyed listening to this story. It’s not dark for a Mafia story. The story centres around Sloan and Rocco. The two main characters have great chemistry and you’ll love listening to how their relationship develops. I recommend this book.

Book 2 got released in July 2020 but it’s not on audible yet. Beautiful Savage is available on the kindle store

I thought I couldn’t love a series by the sisters more than ZA. I’m sorry to say this but step over Solarian men, Rocco has taken me hostage 🤤
I loved it, and I cannot wait to read more from this series.

The sisters have done it again. Is there a book they will ever write that will be a flop? Probably not!
Romeo abs Juliet eat your heart out there’s a new crossed lovers story in town.
Sloan is Rocco’s biggest mistake while he is her biggest nightmare but together they are each other’s freedom. Freedom from the chains of family commitments and freedom from the pain of lost brothers.
Their story was amazing and the Bordeaux pair done an amazing job reading the couple. The story was brought to life by these two and the conflict of falling for the enemy was felt with every word.
The production and sound was great however the accent was a bit to be desired. Still great, but I know how hard accents can be!
Great book, great listen, would defo recommend

This is a fantastic stand alone story.
I found that this wasn’t your typical Mafia story and this intrigued me more.
The narration was done to perfection, fantastic accents.

No wish listing this bad boy, this is one of those that you listen to the sample and straight into the library. I was hooked, this is my new favourite. First audiobook i have listened to and immediatley gone and also brought the book and because i have 1, i gotta have them all.

i don't normally leave a review but when the book has you flapping like a little penguin and multiple twists that you really didn't see coming at all, it has to be done.

Sloan is the daughter of mafia boss Giuseppe Calabresi who doesn’t let her live her own life she’s just a pawn in his sick game. When she gets back from her 4 years studying in Italy she’s thrown into more turmoil and told she has to marry on her wedding day she is kidnapped by Rocco Romero . The heat between Sloan and Rocco is sizzling and as much as he tells himself she’s just a means to and end he protects her from other Romero’s.

This book has everything, it’s been on my TBR for a while and now that’s I’ve devoured it I have no idea why I waited so long! It’s is just fantastic, it has the rival mafia families that has the hate, the principessa, the love, the suspense, the spice…. Oh it has everything!
I love how Bridget and Jake Bordeaux brought all of the characters alive and the slight accents were perfect!
If you are on the fence about diving into this… why?? Just do it, fantastic listen!
