About this listen
With one touch of the stone, Tyron receives his Class and his life changes forever.
In an instant his bright and promising future as the scion of two powerful Slayers is torn apart and he must make a decision.
Will he allow his Class to be purged from his soul, or will he cling to it, abandon all that he knows, and rise to power?
Don't miss the start of the next hit LitRPG series from RinoZ, the author of Chrysalis. Book of the Dead takes on all aspects of Necromancy headfirst, from the tactical maneuvering of skeletons, to what it's like spending so much time among the undead.

Fantastic
Great world building, interesting and in-depth approach to necromancy, very well paced allowing the protagonist to slowly grow his skills.

Very good and something different
I liked this but it did take a while to get going. The world created is very interesting and harsh the wrong class can cost you your hands, life or future growth. The whole book walks a fine line if the main character is too good why be a necromancer if he is too bad some won't like him. I like the fact he is driven and pragmatic more than anything has some morals but will get his hands dirty. There is plenty of potential.
I enjoyed the insight into necromancy and how things are done in a world where strength is everything and control is ruthlessly maintained. There are some fun abilities and the choices the main character makes and could make kept me invested in the story.
A solo main character is rare and enjoyable. The teen angst is at an absolute minimum which I appreciate as the coming of age hero has been done to death, pardon the pun.
There are some fun aspects to the book thanks Dove.
The stat pages are not too numerous or time consuming.
The narrator did a very good job. There are some excellent voices.
The book again walks a fine line of having a main character who is always in a hurry to inspire progress and some things being too easy for him.
Regarding anything negative I will say the priestess bored me so when we got her point of view I wanted to skip it.
I look forward to the next book.

Great Book! One of the best Necro Storys
Here is a book, were the MC is a Necomancer but not the pire villian. In most books Necromancer are seen in a very naive perspective. The society still see Necromancer as evil but the MC is not? I like the plot of the stroy very much!

Original and enjoyable read
I've read a few LitRPG novels now and this is one of my favourites. Well crafted story, palpable moments of horror and sadness. The character status reports are well placed and interesting, it's great to watch the main character's stats progress. Tyron is definitely likeable as as main character as well. Love Dove too, of course! I can't wait to listen to the next book, and I really hope more are coming after it.

Phil Tron is amazing, and whith rhe material he has to work with it just gets better and better.
RinoZ is one of my absolute favourite authors that catches the perfect amount of humour and serious in every sentence. God damn this was a good one!
