This story is HEARTBREAKING from beginning to end soul crushing heartbreak for these characters.
From the very beginning, it gut punches you. Then the story takes off. A big event happens after that is absolutely CRAZY I had no idea where this book was going. And after this big event all the characters just seem fine with it and accepting. It BOTHERED me. Like I was so frustrated with this book, I turned the audio off and went to another book for awhile and then came back. Listened some more and just could NOT get past the fact everyone just seems okay with this HUGE thing the hero does to the heroine and the story keeps moving. I decided I was done. DNF. Done. I started to write my review but first wanted to read other reviews just to see where other readers were with this book and find out if other people agreed. And it’s nothing but rave reviews and wows etc. So fine, I guess I’m not giving it a fair chance even though by this point I’m more than half way thru the story. Soooooo... I go back and finish it, try to keep an open mind till the end and...
