About this listen
Two wild, out-of-control rock stars. One at the top of his career, living the high life and enamored by the glitz and the glam. The other, just starting out and too sensitive for the rough-and-tumble world of a rock star.
Derek MacAlister, the wild one. Known for dancing on table tops, partying too hard, and possessing a never-ending thirst for excitement. With his bandmates now settled in committed relationships, he’s the last man standing. The only problem is that he wants to party all night long, but his best friends are content to stay at home. Enter Travis Fontana, a bad boy with a reputation for trouble, and Derek has his partner in crime.
Travis Fontana just scored the gig of a lifetime opening for the nation’s top heavy metal band. He’s a rebel who thrives on pushing the limits of a good time, and Bulletproof’s sexy, long-haired guitarist, Derek MacAlister, is right by his side to share the fun. Together, they’re double trouble.
But all is not as it seems. Underneath the painted-on smile and carefree exterior that Travis shows the world lies a tortured soul with a dark past. Little by little, Travis lets Derek see a side of him that no one else knows. Derek, unused to the unfiltered raw honesty that Travis shares, finds that he wants to take care of this troubled, vulnerable man and turns out to be Travis’ rock in times of crisis.
When the pressures of newfound fame begin to overwhelm Travis, he quickly starts to unravel. Pushed to the breaking point, it becomes clear that even Derek can’t save him. Travis needs to save himself.

Derek and Travis -pretty good story and narration
Bulletproof Book 4 is my first book by Jenna Galicki and you can read it as a standalone book.
I don’t actually read or listen to books about rock stars, but I was looking for something I don’t usually listen to because I love the variety.
Bulletproof surprised me and in a positive way. The author has a fluid, loose-light style of writing. As a listener, you are very quickly in the story and experience the world of the musicians directly. The author has created a great and authentic mind-setting. As a listener, you think you’re right there.
It was fun to accompany guitarist Derek MacAlister of Bulletproof and his band members on their tour. Derek is the party guy who likes to party. When he meets Travis Fontana, the singer of the band Reckless, it’s a pretty explosive mix. Travis is a bad boy who has every fun. And together they are a powder keg. Derek’s manager Felix has his hands full with them.
But Travis is not the one he gives out. He’s got a lot of problems that are really heartbreaking. These take up a large part of the story, but in doing so the reader feels the depth of his pain.
I found the book very emotional and the way Travis tackles his problems very realistic. I fell in love with Travis when I listen to the audiobook, but it wasn’t hard either. And Derek’s like a rock in Travis' surf, even though Travis tries to push him away.
Another plus point are the poems that Travis writes – be touching the soul.
A very emotional and heartbreaking story that captivated me after only a few chapters. I listened to the audiobook in only two days.
I didn’t know Tyler Kent, but he did a fantastic job. I loved the way he brought Derek and Travis to life. That was a perfect fit for the characters. Besides, he has a voice that’s really good to listen to. I loved Tyler Kent.
A magnificent book that Tyler Kent brought to life with his narration.
Highly recommend!

I love Travis
This is the fourth book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. I haven't read the other books but I never felt lost. I really appreciate it when authors manage to do that. This book actually makes me want to read the other books too. I liked the chemistry between Derek and Travis. It was obvious they cared deeply for each other. What I loved the most was Travis' storyline. It was heartbreaking but at the same time empowering. He went through so much but he managed to find the strength to ask for professional help and get better. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the story to life.

Great characters
I was always curious to see what kind of man would attract Derek for the long haul and initially, Travis seemed like the stereotypical partner for him. One that would have required no growth or change from his hard partying lifestyle. When Travis begins to open up about his struggles, however, we get to see the amazing man Derek really is. Together, these two find a way to ensure Travis gets the help he needs and build a secure future together. This is an amazing story that doesn't imply love fixes everything but does show that love and support are vital so people get strong enough to get the help they need and do the hard, hard work of getting better. Tyler Kent does an amazing job of showing us the fun and attraction at the beginning and then taking us deep inside the emotions that follow.

Two rock starts, one set of night stars.
Travis and Derek, two rock stars, one set of night stars.
Not having read the other books in the series, I had no issues jumping straight in. I will, however, be going back to read the previous books.
A well-written story. A lovely romance between two pop stars, each with their problems in life. Travis though had a few more issues than most, he was fighting demons. Could Derek help or would Travis break himself? There were a few ups and downs in the middle with a HEA.
Well worth the listen/read. Straight to Gay. Gay for him.
Good narration from Tyler Kent easy to listen to and only had to speed up to 1.35.

THIS!! OMG!
I spent a whole weekend with this book and it's stayed with me ever since. It's a gay story that sounds just like a straight romance. I loved everyone in this book and will read it over again. Actually I want to read all the other books in the series.
There's ups and downs all over this. Things that I have been thru myself, so I was able to understand how Travis felt in this. The story was heartbreaking at times, but the story is really good.

Heartbraking, wild and powerful!
I am so in love with this book! It's both wild and heartbreaking. I love how Derek and Travis are wild together, "living the rockstar life", but also just being two crazy young men; on the other hand, though, they are two very sensitive souls. Travis is a troubled man with a difficult past and an extremely overwhelming present making it difficult for him to adjust to fame. Dereck is the real surprise of the book: for being an extremely turbolent rockstar, often perceived as out-of-control and over the top, he is a very gentle partner and the rock for Travis as he navigates his issues.
I really loved this story a lot!
It's fun, sexy, crazy and heartwarming. Really well done!
Also, I enjoyed Tyler Kent's narration a lot, very clear and perfectly characterized voices.
