This book is excellent and should be taught in schools!!!

I decided to listen in the hope I could find out some truths about my life and why I ended up in a toxic relationship.

Finally I have found some answers and know that I wasn’t to blame.

Empowering book. Just be prepared to start seeing right through these manipulative, character disturbed people and the tactics they use. Suddenly my eyes are open! Must read, especially if you are in, or have been in, abusive relationships before. All you need to do then is decide what to do with your new found knowledge.

Where do I start. This book just
Makes so much sense. A more up to date approach than the outdated Victorian theorists. Especially in this modern times with the epidemic of disturbed entitled characters due to the likes of modern living and social media.

Everyone should read this book, especially those who live or work with people who have negative character traits. This book gives the tools to recognise these people, which is extremely valuable if a person seems a bit off and you don't want to risk offending them.

This is such a useful and insightful book, and the author has thought deeply about the social implications of his work. But listeners outside a US Christian situation will find that some sections need a bit of translation for their own context. The author's insistence on the power of parents in a 2-generational nuclear family is also very American. Other cultures would want to point out to him that competent and involved grandparents, well-structured cheap childcare and a less individualistic, more collective sense of society are also needed in the mix, and help to avoid other societies becoming quite as entitled and narcissistic as US culture seems to be.

A very interesting book however I am not sure that the comparisons with the 10 commandments has much to do with our mental health! Or indeed with a belief in the Christian god

Whether one is a good and decent person or not has nothing to do with religion
