Very slow reader
I really wanted to listen to this so sped it up to 1.2, the original was unbearabley slow.
The content was good albeit a little condescending at times.
I did enjoy it.

Entertaining look at some completely nuts ideas
This is a brilliant overview of a plethora of conspiracies - some real but mostly utter twaddle - and secret societies. Loads of detail yet clearly and logically presented as per the typical Dummies format. The narration does sound a bit AI from time to time, but it's generally quite easy on the ear once you get used to it. The authors' barely concealed scorn for some of the more bonkers theories is very entertaining.

Ok, I guess
The general synopsis of the book is fine. It’s fairly interesting. There are some surprising things in there but the narration is terrible. I found it really hard to listen to and, at times, struggled to see if it was a person or an automated reader. Wish it had been a different narrator.

Weirdly entertaining
A fascinating overview of many of the secret societies, cults and conspiracy theories that keep many of us curious and entertained.
It certainly gives the reader/listener much food for thought and may provoke the desire to investigate further.
The narration is quite peculiar and may divide listeners. I didn’t like the almost robotic delivery at first, but kind of got used to it and eventually found it suited the subject matter and the nature of the subject in a way that I can’t explain. Some of the pronunciation of the none American words is quite funny, and one glaring mistake is to call the British Secret Service’s ‘M fifteen’ and ‘M sixteen’ rather than their actual titles M.I.5 and M.I.6 (Ministry of Information 5 and Ministry of Information 6).
That aside I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

Poor reading
This reader drove me to distraction. one of the worst I have heard. The tone and pitch was awful. Unfortunately the content was not good enough to keep me to the end

A field of all the foil hat rabbit holes
most I'd heard of but it was enjoyable as it gives just a brief chapter on all the major conspiracies, hidden bunkers & 'secret' organisations.
some are proper mad and funny, some are thought provoking. Good starting point as all the 'dummy' books are

Impressive content
Compiling conspiracy theories produces a rather alarming view of the world, but the witty and erudite writing made sure it wasn’t a horror show. An awful lot of difficult research must have gone into this book and it was worth it! Impressive!
