About this listen

Don't miss this startling first book in a breathtaking new trilogy from Teri Terry, queen of the YA psychological thriller and author of the best-selling Slated trilogy!

Urgent!

An epidemic is sweeping the country.

You are among the infected. There is no cure, and you cannot be permitted to infect others.

You are now under quarantine. The 5 percent of the infected who survive are dangerous and will be taken into the custody of the army.

Young runaway Callie survived the disease but not the so-called treatment. Her brother, Kai, is still looking for her. And his new friend, Shay, may hold the key to uncovering what truly happened.

From the author of the international sensation Slated comes the first book in a powerful new story of survival and transformation, love and power.

A different Armageddon

I really enjoyed this book - so much that as soon as I finished it I searched to see if the next one was available and it was and I bought it and listened to it straight away and have pre-ordered the next one.

I found the story captivating, I wanted to know what was going to happen and I found myself caught up in the events as the characters were so believable.

I enjoy books that alternate characters telling of the story as this one does as to me it gives more insight to both the plot and the character.

The only downside I did find was the ending, a cliff-hanger - I admit if I had known I might not have ever read it not without having the other books in the series first ( something I often do if I read a review of a book that states this and I check and find if at least next book is out before buying it, I would rather wait than wonder but that is just me).

The narrators were perfect choices for this book - they brought all the characters alive so well, they gave the book the atmosphere it needed and really nothing else I can add except just perfect.

I did receive this book free in the hope I would write a review for it and am so glad I did as I had not come across the author before and now they have a new fan as I will be buying all their books from now on.
