About this listen

An Ufthak Blackhawk Audiobook

Ufthak Blackhawk reckons he’s in for it. Da Meklord has summoned him, and the Gargantsmasha just knows his boss wants to kick his teef in and be done with it.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Ufthak Blackhawk faces the Drukhari in the teeming flesh pits of their dark city of Commorragh as he finds himself challenged to gladiatorial combat against the masters of pain.

THE STORY

Out of options, Ufthak leads his Waaagh! through the mysterious webway, to a place where kunnin’, sneakin’, and thinkin’ are the name of the game. A place with little truck for muscle and brawn – Commorragh, the Dark City.

Here, where kabals and haemonculus covens pump psychic viscera into the warp, Ufthak is thrown into gladiatorial combat and soon finds himself up against an archon who will stop at nothing to prove she deserves to rule the Dark City – even if it means bringing Commorragh down around her.

But the Drukhari are about to discover that while orks may be simple, very little about them is ever straightforward.

If you like orks, it’s a very good book. If you like grots, it’s also very good. If you like the slow development of star-crossed lovers in a world not quite suited to romance, that’s covered too. Excellent performance from Harry Myers as always!

Dead good

The fights are proper fights and the comedy is proper comedy. The two blend together very well and it just makes you want to sit down and paint an Ork force. The more mundane moments are also great listens. Usually I find myself getting half way through waiting for the next good but to happen, but in this it was none stop. Great read/listen and I highly recommend. Amazing voice acting also

You don't find this much fun outside an Ork book

Fantastic story, storytelling and voice. The multiple characters developing was great and plenty of orky humour 5*

Light hearted and funny in many places but still unflinchingly violent throughout. The narrator was the perfect voice for the Orks, great story too.

Great Narration!
