Oh wow, I couldn't stop listening!
Great narrator, great in depth characters, relevant and accurate police techniques and procedures. An amazing story, so many twists and turns, I never saw them coming! Highly recommend for those who love a good detective story. I will definitely be listening to the rest of the series.

Lots of twists - I couldn’t guess though I thought I had solved it
Really enjoyed listening to this - I guessed incorrectly at several points what was going to happen and I’m usually pretty good at guessing correctly. Highly recommend!

Great story easy listen
Got hooked Into the story straight away, lots to keep Interest, set where I live it was great hearing about the local area and locations. Off to get his next book hope it’s as good.

Enjoyable.
I started this series further along so it’s been fun to go back to the start & actually I’ve enjoyed this first book.
Daniel Weyman is an excellent narrator, very good at creating tension quietly.

Found a new favourite!
Really enjoyed this book and found myself being absorbed straight into this character and his life. Thankfully with just the right amount of flaws and an interesting backstory that we’ll no doubt see play out in future books, he plays a strong and clever cop caught up in a time sensitive case with every moment ticking down to a perilous and tragic outcome.
Fast paced and clever plot with some great characters throughout, I couldn’t put this book down. The narrator is great and captures everything we need in this and indeed all the other characters.
I liked the inclusion of the supernatural and even though I’d normally be put off by that in a plot, it actually worked really well and wasn’t overdone.
Hugely looking forward to working my way through the series- I think I’ve found a new favourite author!!
