Summary
On his final day alive, Scribe convenes a reunion of his closest friends. Though they’d been separated since a harrowing climb on Mt. Kilimanjaro, Scribe hopes the gathering will inspire an actionable plan for humanity in the face of existential challenges. Through a series of conversations, debates, and negotiations, the participants develop a blueprint for the way forward.
Writing as “Zero,” author Bryan Johnson is an entrepreneur and explorer of the new frontiers of being human. Johnson took stock of his health and realized that a decade of chronic depression and poor cognitive control earlier in life had affected every measure of his well-being. He decided it was time to fight back. In DON’T DIE, Johnson catalogs the social and philosophical strategies necessary for the fight, both individually and as a species. Johnson’s controversial ideas and methods have attracted both detractors and devoted followers around the globe.

Love the way story is told
I love how all my questions are answered by telling the story through different parts of the person.

If you the book, Homo Deus, you'll love this one!
This book is so overlooked. You have to listen to it. It's fantastic! Bryan Johnson has written a book that is able to do what very few books are able to do nowadays; it makes you think about life in a philosophical way. Not just your life, but the meaning of life. the purpose.
He doesn't even talk about the longevity regimes he does in real life, he's talking on a completely different scale. The bigger picture.
Bryan is one of the actual few that is a genuine visionairy leader. He paints a picture of the future and why it's our duty to make that happen. But also it's inevitably. He's able to do this in an exciting way that makes you hopeful of the future.
And the unique angle he takes to go over all of this, discussions between his multiple personalities, actually works really well.
Definitely worth your credit! Now go get the book already. You won't regret it.

Parts therapy on steroids
This felt like the most exquisite blend between a digestible dinner party and David Eagleman's "Incognito".
I love Bryan's philosophy and its interesting and frankly quite fun to recognise the resistant parts within yourself as you try to give up your own "tyrannical parts" in your brain for the benefit of neurological democracy.
This book helped me successfully take the plunge in my own weight loss journey and firing my own sabotaging parts (not the intention behind the book but what I feel could be a helpful by-product for many listeners).
Highly recommended and I look forward to his next book!
